Slow travel

A rural landscape that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, remember the past... and prepare for an abundant future.

Here, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, which silently overlook Comano Thermal Baths, local rural villages line up like trees in the woods.

This place is an oasis of tranquillity and well-being that invites you to move in rhythm with nature, accompanied by bubbling thermal springs. This thriving region, which forms a part of the UNESCO Ledrensi and Judicaria Alps Biosphere,  boasts an array of stunning features, including quaint and winding alleyways in rural villages such as Rango – considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The local area is also home to the Palafitte di Fiavé, footpaths that meander into dense forests, golden fields flanked by waterways, and a host of archaeological sites and ancient structures that speak to the rich history of the region.

There are also three villages that characterise the local land:

Rango village, characterised by ancient dwellings leaning against one another, gives the impression of a fortified town whose rustic mountain architecture has remained impeccably preserved. From the magnificent Renaissance bifora to the intricate network of rural buildings, the distinctive archways, and the dense system of tunnels and internal courtyards. There is also a large square fountain in the town square.

San Lorenzo in Banale: 7 beautiful ‘villas’, or rather, 7 towns that joined together after the war to found San Lorenzo.

Canale di Tenno is a characteristic medieval town dating to 1211. It represents an authentic slice of medieval history that has survived almost intact to the present day.

Good travellers do not have fixed plans, their purpose is not to arrive.
