CASTLES AND CHURCHES
Between history and traditions
The Comano Valley is rich in history, culture, and spirituality, especially as a land of transition . Today, this historical and cultural identity is reflected in ancient castles, fortifications, churches, and even the Pile Dwellings of Fiavé . Furthermore, Comano boasts six medieval castles . Some are privately owned, but can be visited by appointment. Throughout the year, they often return to their former glory, with period music and unmissable reenactments.

Starting from Stenico Castle , an imposing and well-preserved building now a museum open year-round, you can retrace the traces of the past among fortifications and noble residences. Dating back to the 12th century, it was transformed into a prestigious episcopal residence under the Prince-Bishop of Trento.
Castel Campo , of ancient origins, is still inhabited by the Rasini family and hosts cultural, social and agricultural initiatives.
Castel Restor , built in the 13th century by the Counts of Arco, is today a fascinating ruin, reachable with a walk through the woods above Vergonzo. Built in the same historical period, still by the Counts of Arco, Castel Spine cannot be visited as it is a private residence.
Of Castel Mani only a few ruins of the city walls remain on the rock above San Lorenzo in Banale.
Finally, Castel Tenno , dating back to the 12th century, is one of the best-preserved examples of episcopal architecture. It is clearly visible from the road, but not accessible to the public.
By staying at Hotel Posta, you can also embark on a fascinating spiritual journey through sanctuaries, parish churches, chapels, and mountain churches immersed in the silence of nature. Among the must-see places are the Marian shrines of Santa Maria Assunta in Dasindo and the Madonna di Caravaggio in Deggia, places of peace and reflection. You can also visit three ancient parish churches : the Church of San Lorenzo in Vigo Lomaso, the Church of Saints Dionisio, Rustico, and Eleuterio in Santa Croce, and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Tavodo. Completing the itinerary is the evocative Convent of the Franciscan Fathers in Campo Lomaso, with its enchanting cloister.
FISHING
Fishing in an exceptional place
If you love fishing , you can’t miss the lakes and rivers in the Comano Terme area. Here, the best fishermen in the world have always competed against each other!

The Sarca River flows through Ponte Arche, a popular destination for fishermen due to the richness of its waters, which hosted the 21st European Fly Fishing Championship and the 38th FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championship.
Pack all your gear and bring it with you for unforgettable experiences in breathtaking landscapes. Starting from the Hotel Posta and following the Sentiero dell’Acqua , you can also reach the Limarò Canyon, where you can enjoy fishing or explore a magnificent series of natural sculptures, where the gorges carved by the Sarca River alternate with dramatic red limestone cliffs.
